B.1 Internet Request For Comments

The Internet Request For Comments (or RFC) documents are the written definitions of the protocols and policies of the Internet.

The Web-page http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/hypertext/information/rfc.html provides entry points to get at the RFCs.

As the time of writing (December 1995) RFC 1880 describes the state of standardization of protocols used in the Internet as determined by the Internet Architecture Board (IAB).
